So this weekend, my friend Caitlin and I are running the Anthem Great Pumpkin 5K. It is my first 5K-- since I am NOT a runner, and I'm excited to try something new. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, and afterwards Reston Town Center is having their annual Oktoberfest celebration. Quick run followed by a nice day of drinking outside? OK I'll try running. I am a little nervous about the competition-- since we did sign up for the "timed" race I assume someone will be marking our start and finish. Perhaps they will let me run in the kids group. At least if I can't beat them I can knock them down .....

5K Jitters!
